2024 Culture and sport Debrecen

Description

The place should embody driving. Freedom, speed, dynamism, and innovation are the core characteristics of motoring. Our concept is built around these qualities. We approach the entire area—both outdoor and indoor functions—as a unified whole, creating a spatial structure that blurs the boundaries between weather-protected spaces and open-air areas, thereby emphasizing the inherently outdoor nature of motoring.

We are crafting a spatial environment that centers on the relationship between the car and its surroundings, as well as between the car and people. While motoring has become an unavoidable necessity, it is important to demonstrate that it can be enjoyed responsibly and that it can also be overused. Our design creates an oasis—a new space that highlights the positive aspects of motoring point by point, while also acknowledging its downsides.

Our goal is to establish a new place that transcends the theme of motoring to create a human-scale, livable microclimate within the lowland plains.
