2025 Culture and sport Debrecen

Description

Our design concept is defined by the ribbon motif running in nature, which is a metaphor for freedom, dynamism and innovation. We formed a new building from self-enclosing ribbons in such a way that the actual form of the ribbons are determined by the needs arising from the function. In spaces with a higher ceiling height, the strip is raised, in closed exhibition spaces it is thicker. With this mass formation, the planning area is divided into three main parts: the busy, ring-shaped building, which rises at one point from the main approach direction and allows access to the second main part, the inner oasis, which is a protected, landscaped space from which the main entrance is also accessible. The third main part of the object is the external area outside the building, which houses the test track.
